The Search is on for Hillington Square Architects

The search is now on for architects to draw up design plans which will transform Hillington Square.

Freebridge Community Housing and Wayne and Geraldine Hemingway and their team are on the hunt for an architectural practice which will develop the vision for Hillington Square into real designs.  An advert seeking expressions of interest has now been published and shortlisting of the architects will begin in January.  Residents of Hillington Square will be invited to help choose the company they want to redesign their area.

Wayne Hemingway said "This is a big step in the redevelopment of Hillington Square and once we have architects on board we can start to firm up the plans.  We will be working closely with local residents to choose the best architect to take on this exciting job and transform Hillington Square.

The final selection of the architects will take place in early Spring 2011 and they will work with residents to refine the designs for Hillington Square.
