Consultation Event

It is time for residents and leaseholders of Hillington Square to have your say on the improvements and what you would like to see for your community, your homes and the Hillington Square environment.

From 22^nd – 25^th June, you are invited to give your views on what changes you would like to see, building on suggestions made earlier in the year. You will be asked to comment on the following themes:

• Decent Homes e.g. what improvements can be made to their homes?
• Green spaces e.g. how could the green spaces be put to better use for the residents?
• Garages and extending the home e.g. how can better use be made of the garages?
• Stairwells, walkways and refuse e.g. how can access to the homes be improved ?
• Amenities and services e.g. what local services do residents want?
• The streetscape and connections e.g. how can Hillington Square become more integrated/ linked  into the town?
• The brand and identity e.g. what would residents like the estate  to be perceived by the wider community?

Representatives from Freebridge Community Housing, The Hemingway Design team including Wayne and Gerardine Hemingway and architects Mae will be on hand throughout the consultation to listen to your views.

Once all the ideas have been gathered together, Hemingway Design and Mae architects will produce a detailed masterplan for the upgrading of Hillington Square. Consultation on the masterplan will be carried out in late summer before it is submitted for planning permission in the autumn.

The consultation events will be taking place at Hillington Square community centre on the following dates and times:

• 1pm – 7.30pm, Wednesday 22^nd June
• 7.30am – 11am, Thursday 23^rd June
• 10am – 12noon, Saturday 25^th June.
